EXPERIENCE
Dr. Robert McGuire is the Head of the Space Physics Data Facility/SPDF (Code 612.4) at NASA.s Goddard Space Flight Center. SPDF leads in the design and implementation of unique multi-mission and multi-disciplinary data services, innovative ground data system concepts, educational programs and cross-cutting data, modeling and visualization research.
As part of his present duties, Dr. McGuire directs the Sun Solar System Connection Active Archive (S3CAA) project, including the CDAWeb and SSCWeb data services. Dr. McGuire is also the Lead Scientist for IMP-8 and the Principal Investigator on the IMP-8 Goddard Medium Energy (GME) experiment, with primary science interests in solar and other heliospheric particle composition and acceleration.
